Dr. Teresa Charniga is a highly experienced family medicine physician and longtime Las Vegas resident dedicated to helping patients achieve better health and well-being through thoughtful, personalized care.
Dr. Charniga graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She then completed her Family Practice residency at St. Paul Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Following residency, Dr. Charniga spent a year and a half practicing medicine throughout the United States, providing coverage for physicians in communities across the country. This experience exposed her to a wide range of patients, clinical settings, and approaches to care. In 1990, she made Las Vegas her permanent home and has been caring for patients in the community ever since.
Dr. Charniga’s lifelong interest in human anatomy and physiology inspired her career in medicine and continues to shape her approach to patient care. She believes in looking beyond individual symptoms to understand each patient’s overall health, with an emphasis on prevention, early intervention, and helping patients maintain their health and quality of life over the long term.
